Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to The Operatic Physio. By booking an appointment or using any of the services provided, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
These Terms apply to both home-based musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and in-person vocal coaching, which are delivered as two distinct services.
2. Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments can be booked via WhatsApp, email, or other agreed booking methods.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session fee.
If you arrive late for an appointment, the session may be shortened to ensure fairness to other clients. The full fee will still apply.
3. Fees and Payments
Fees will be communicated at the time of booking and are subject to change.
Payment is due at the time of the appointment unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at booking.
Failure to make payment may result in refusal of future services.
4. Physiotherapy Services – Consent and Disclaimer
By booking physiotherapy treatment, you confirm that all relevant medical information has been disclosed accurately and honestly.
Physiotherapy outcomes can vary depending on individual circumstances, medical history, and adherence to prescribed advice or exercises. No guarantees of outcome can be made.
Physiotherapy services are provided within the professional scope of a registered musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
5. Vocal Coaching Services – Scope of Practice
In-person vocal coaching is provided as vocal tuition, not as medical treatment or therapy.
Vocal coaching sessions focus on singing technique, musical development, and healthy voice use. They are informed by anatomical and physiological knowledge but do not replace assessment or treatment by a physiotherapist, speech and language therapist, ENT consultant, or other healthcare professional.
Clients with pain, injury, or diagnosed voice disorders may be advised to seek appropriate medical or therapeutic assessment.
6. Health and Safety
Clients are expected to follow all safety advice given during sessions.
If you experience discomfort, pain, or any adverse response during or after a session, you must inform the practitioner as soon as possible.
For home-based physiotherapy, clients are responsible for ensuring a safe and appropriate environment for treatment.
7. Privacy and Confidentiality
All personal and medical information is handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
Further details are available in the Privacy Policy.
8. Complaints and Feedback
Every effort is made to provide a high-quality service. If you have concerns, please raise them directly so they can be addressed promptly.
Formal complaints should be submitted in writing and will be responded to within a reasonable timeframe.
9. Limitation of Liability
All reasonable care is taken when providing services. However, The Operatic Physio cannot be held liable for unforeseen reactions, outcomes, or complications arising from treatment or coaching.
Clients are responsible for following advice, exercises, and guidance provided during sessions.
10. Amendments to These Terms
The Operatic Physio reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
